Community & Student Performances & Events

Fans of live performance in the region have come to know The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College as their go-to place for concerts, touring Broadway productions, comedy, plays, dance, and world-renowned speakers. We’ve played host to everyone from former presidents, world leaders, and rock icons to up-and-coming performers from across the country and from right here in southwestern Michigan.

Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful as sparks fly between new superintendent, Sid Sorokin, and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7 ½-cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor but a battle of the sexes as well.

Fandom Fest is a public multi-library collaboration dedicated to bringing the fan convention experience to Southwest Michigan. Our goal is to welcome fans of all popular culture art forms to join us for a day of celebration, free of charge.

The Southshore Concert Band is an ensemble of volunteer musicians dedicated to bringing an enjoyable and quality musical experience to southwest Michigan.
