Interim Sales & Development Manager
Jacquie Johnson is the Interim Sales and Development Manager. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and started her career at The Art Institute of Chicago where she worked for 12 years before changing her career. She returned to graduate school and received a Master’s degree in Adult Education from National Louis University. For many years she was the director of a family literacy program in Chicago in which parents and children worked side-by-side to further their education.
Before coming to The Mendel Center, she worked at Lake Michigan College in a federally funded program designed to help adults enter into postsecondary education. She is excited to be at the Mendel and to be immersed in the performing arts. According to Johnson, “I feel like my life has come full-circle, I started out in the arts and now I have the opportunity to return to the career that I love.”
