Fans of live performance in the region have come to know The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College as their go-to place for concerts, touring Broadway productions, comedy, plays, dance, and world-renowned speakers. We’ve played host to everyone from former presidents, world leaders, and rock icons to up-and-coming performers from across the country and from right here in southwestern Michigan.

Sunny Wilkinson is a jazz recording artist, session singer, performer, and teacher.  Joining Sunny on piano will be Dr. Ron Newman, a member of the Michigan State University faculty since 1980.

Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful as sparks fly between new superintendent, Sid Sorokin, and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7 ½-cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor but a battle of the sexes as well.


Fandom Fest is a public multi-library collaboration dedicated to bringing the fan convention experience to Southwest Michigan. Our goal is to welcome fans of all popular culture art forms to join us for a day of celebration, free of charge.

The Southshore Concert Band is an ensemble of volunteer musicians dedicated to bringing an enjoyable and quality musical experience to southwest Michigan.   


Lake Michigan College invites family members, faculty, and staff to honor the outstanding efforts demonstrated by graduates in earning their degree or certificate.  Tickets are required for entry.
