There has been an increase in the number secondary online ticket resellers offering tickets to Mendel Center events for sale, often at greatly inflated prices. In many instances, these tickets are being offered for sale before the site operator has purchased them from us.
If you purchase Mendel Center event tickets from any source other than The Mendel Center, you could:
Miss out on important show notifications including time changes, postponements, and the like, because we will not have an in-house record of your purchase
While there are unscrupulous ticket sellers on the Internet, the good news is that you can do some easy things to protect yourself.
Only order tickets through our official web site, through links provided in emails you receive directly from us, by calling our box office at 269-927-8700, option 1, or by visiting the box office located in the Mainstage lobby from 10 am to 6 pm weekdays, and one hour before show times.
When using online search to find our web site, pay close attention to the results. Often, ticket resellers purchase top search positions, and include a portion of our name in their web address – such as MendelCenter.ticketofficesales.com, Mendel.BoxOfficeTicketSales.com, MendelCenter.box-officetickets.com, and the like. These sites, and others like them, are not affiliated with The Mendel Center.
Occasionally, we partner with local organizations on special engagements. Tickets for those performances may also be available through the partner organizations. In those instances, that partnership will be communicated so you can feel confident purchasing tickets through them and through us.
If you think you have seen one of these fraudulent web sites, or if you have been duped by a ticket reseller, you can file a Consumer Complaint Form (https://secure.ag.state.mi.us/complaints/consumer.aspx) with the State of Michigan Attorney General.
