PART OF THE LAKE MICHIGAN COLLEGE SPEAKER SERIES
HANSON THEATRE - GENERAL ADMISSION SEATING

Lt. Col. Dan Rooney is a United States Air Force fighter pilot, PGA professional, patriotic philanthropist, and author. He is best known for founding Folds of Honor, a leading non-profit organization that provides educational scholarships for children and spouses of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.

Rooney’s life calling of “inspiring people to help people'' is made obvious by his variety of roles. A USA Today bestselling author whose titles are “A Patriot's Calling: Living Life Between Fear and Faith” and “Fly Into the Wind: How to Harness Faith and Fearlessness on Your Ascent to Greatness,” he is a highly sought-after motivational speaker who has addressed over 1,000 corporations and groups across America.

A two-time recipient of the Top Gun award, Rooney has also received the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Medal, Anti-terrorism Medal, Combat Readiness Medal, and Air Expeditionary Medal. For his service and patriotism, he was presented the White House’s “Presidential Volunteer Service Award'' by President George W. Bush, as well as the Air National Guard’s “Distinguished Service Medal,” the “Directors Service Award,” and the Ellis Island “Medal of Honor.”

Rooney will inspire you during his talk, “CAVU: Live Unlimited.” CAVU is an aviation term that stands for “ceiling and visibility unlimited.” Translated, it describes the perfect conditions in which to be a pilot. His discussion will incorporate leadership, fighter pilot lessons, Folds of Honor, unlocking talents through faith, and embracing resistance with a resilient spirit.

Lake Michigan College Ticket Delivery Methods
The LMC Mendel Center offers two ticket delivery options:

  • E-tickets to print at home or display on your mobile device when you arrive at the event
  • Will Call tickets to be picked up at the box office up to 90 minutes before your event

When you choose the e-ticket option, you will receive immediate confirmation of your purchase. Your actual e-tickets will be sent 48 hours before the event. This is a growing practice in the live event industry to help protect patrons by discouraging fraudulent and price-inflated ticket reselling activity.

To protect your purchases, always buy Mendel Center tickets directly through the Mendel Center at www.TheMendelCenter.com.

Purchasing tickets from third parties
We strongly recommend that you to purchase Mendel Center event tickets directly from the Mendel Center. If you purchase tickets from a third party (ticket broker, reseller, private party, etc.), you assume all risks related to that transaction. The Mendel Center cannot guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased from third parties. If an event is canceled or postponed, all communication will go to the ticket buyer of record in the Mendel Center's ticketing system. You must work directly with that third party for a refund. The Mendel Center is only able to make refunds or apply account credits to those parties who originally purchased the tickets from us. Tickets purchased through third parties do not count toward series discount status.
