How do I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets by clicking HERE. The box office is open by phone Monday - Friday from 2 - 6 pm, and in person Tuesdays - Thursdays from 2 - 6 pm. Tickets can be purchased over the phone by calling 269-927-8700, option 1. The box office is located in the Grand Upton Hall lobby (parking lot entrance 3).
Can I select my seats?
For the 2021-22 season, all tickets are general admission by zone. Seats will be assigned within the zone you have purchased when you arrive for your event. By not assigning seats at the time of purchase, we have the flexibility to seat everyone based on health and safety guidelines in place on the day of the event with the least disruption to you.
Click HERE to view your seating chart. Seats in the left section of the Mainstage Theatre have odd numbers. Seats in the center section of the Mainstage Theatre have sequential numbers 101-114. Seats in the right section of the Mainstage theatre have even numbers.
Does my child or infant need a ticket?
All patrons must have a ticket, including lap-sitting infants and children. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in The Mendel Center. For the benefit of all patrons, children who cause disruption or are unable to sit quietly may be relocated or asked to leave.
Return / exchange policy:
All tickets are sold as non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Mainstage Series Members have the exclusive privilege of the ability to exchange tickets up to 7 days before the performance.
Convenience Fees are charged only for online purchases. It can be avoided by purchasing directly through the Box Office by calling 269-927-8700, option 1 weekdays from 2 - 6 pm.
The Facility Fee helps cover operating expenses including utilities, repairs, replacements, and custodial services. This fee is charged on tickets with a face value of $10 or more for events in the Mainstage and Hanson theatres regardless of how they are purchased.

What should I wear?
Please wear whatever makes you comfortable to enjoy the show or event! Please use your best judgement regarding appropriate clothing.
What happens if I arrive late?
Every effort is made to start performances at the published time. We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the show start time. Late arriving patrons will be seated only at times designated by the artists and their management, and they may be directed to a seat near the back of the theatre until intermission.
Lost & found:
Lost and Found items are kept at the box office for one month. Please call the box office at (269) 927-8700, option 1, or stop by to see if your item has been found. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and one hour prior to show time.
How do I purchase a gift card?
To purchase gift cards, please call (269) 927-8700 option 1, or stop into the Box Office Monday - Friday 10AM - 6PM. Gift cards are now also available online. Click HERE to learn more.
How do I redeem my gift card?
Click HERE to see a list of upcoming events. Select your preferred show(s). Once you login and reach the payment page, the gift card amount should automatically apply.
If local law enforcement agencies declare a state of Emergency in Berrien County, The Mendel Center will postpone or cancel the show. Once the decision to cancel is made, ticket holders of record will be notified by email of the cancellation and will be provided with information about ticket refunds or rescheduling information.
In the absence of a state of emergency declaration, the decision to have the show as scheduled will largely depend on if the performers and their equipment have safely arrived.
If a show is cancelled due to weather or production issues, we do our best to reschedule the show.
If the show is rescheduled and you are not able to attend, you will receive a refund for the ticket purchase price.
If the show is not able to be rescheduled, all patrons will receive a refund for the ticket purchase price.

Cameras / Photography
Please refrain from taking pictures or video of any performances. Photography, video and other recording devices are contractually prohibited during most Mendel Center Mainstage performances unless otherwise specified. Sit back, relax, and experience it live!
Phones / Noises
Out of courtesy to the performers and other patrons, the use of cell phones and other electronic devices is prohibited during performances. Please silence phones, pagers, alarm watches, and other distracting electronic equipment prior to the start of the performance. Please do not talk or whisper during the performances. This can also be disruptive to the performers and other patrons.
The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College is located on a smoke-free campus. All smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited. Smoking and/or vaping are only permitted in your personal vehicle while on the Lake Michigan College campus.
The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College is a weapons-free campus. Please leave all weapons including firearms, knives and other edged weapons locked in the trunk of your personal vehicle. If you accidentally forget to remove your weapon before entering the Mendel Center, please return to you car and secure your weapon in your trunk. Patrons who do not comply with Lake Michigan College's weapon-free policy will be asked to leave and may be escorted off the premises by security.
Food and Beverages:
Out of courtesy to other patrons and to preserve the Mainstage and Hanson Theatre facilities, food is not allowed in the theatres. Bottled water is allowed in the theatres. All other beverages are only allowed in LMC Mendel Center No-Spill Souvenir Cups available for purchase at the concession stand and bars: 10 oz. - $2.00, 16 oz. - $3.00. The cups are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended) and can be used for each show at which concessions are available.
Concessions are available for most Mendel Center performances. The concession stand closes at the end of intermission. Please call the box office at (269) 927-8700, option 1, to confirm that concessions will be available during your event.
The Mendel Center does sell alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, at a cash bar during most Mainstage events. The bar closes at the end of intermission. Please call the box office at (269) 927-8700, option 1, to confirm that a cash bar will be available during your event.
How do I avoid the online convenience fee when purchasing Speaker Series tickets?
The online convenience fee is waived for all Speaker Series Membership packages. To avoid the online convenience fee for indiviual Speaker tickets please call (269) 927-8700, option 1, weekdays from 2 - 6 pm (except holidays). Walk-ins welcome Tuesday - Thursday, from 2 - 6 pm. There is no convenience fee for using the phone or in-person ordering services.
How do I order single tickets for an individual speaker?

What time should I arrive?
Grand Upton Hall doors open for dinner at 5:30 pm.

Which parking lot should I use?
Attendees with dinner tickets to Grand Upton Hall should use Parking Lot A (north side of building)
Attendees for the presentation only should use Parking Lot B (south side of building)
What is the dress code?
There is no set dress code, however most attendees are in business casual attire.
