Earvin "Magic" Johnson is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Magic Johnson Enterprises, an investment conglomerate that provides high-quality products and services that focus primarily on ethnically diverse and underserved urban communities. Having left the basketball court for the boardroom, Johnson has parlayed the skills and tenacity he acquired on the court into a winning formula for his successful business ventures.

Among Johnson's long list of notable entrepreneurial accomplishments are unprecedented business partnerships with Sony Pictures and Starbucks, ownership stake in several professional sports franchises, and controlling interests in a multi-billion-dollar financial services company and a food service and facilities management company. Additionally, through a fund formed in 2015, Johnson is investing millions of dollars on infrastructure improvements throughout the U.S.

During his Lake Michigan College Speaker Series appearance, Johnson will share experiences from his ground-breaking business career and time as a champion on the basketball court.

Our guest speaker, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, will begin his presentation at 6:30 p.m. Ticket holders may arrive any time after 5 p.m. to secure a seat in the presentation-only section. A cash bar and concession stand will be available when the doors open. Seating is general admission; no reserved seating available to the public.

The LMC Mendel Center offers two ticket delivery options:

• E-tickets to print at home or display on your mobile device when you arrive at the event
• Will Call tickets to be picked up at the box office up to 90 minutes before your event

When you choose the e-ticket option, you will receive immediate confirmation of your purchase. Your actual e-tickets will be sent 48 hours before the event. This is a growing practice in the live event industry to help protect patrons by discouraging fraudulent and price-inflated ticket reselling activity.
