UPDATE: UPDATE: We are disappointed to tell you that the Friday, April 1, 2022, performance of STOMP at The Mendel Center has been postponed. The postponement is due to a scheduling conflict on the tour's part that unfortunately has impacted our engagement with them. We are working with the tour's management team to reschedule the performance. When we know more about rescheduling this event, we will notify you with those details.
STOMP is explosive, inventive, provocative, witty, and utterly unique—an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages. The international percussion sensation has garnered armfuls of awards and rave reviews and has appeared on numerous national television shows. The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments – matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps – to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms. Year after year, audiences worldwide keep coming back for more of this pulse-pounding electrifying show. As the Boston Globe says, “If you haven’t seen STOMP, GO! If you have seen it, take someone and share the pleasure!” STOMP. See what all the noise is about.
As the State of Michigan enters the COVID-19 Recovery Phase, The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College is moving to a "masks suggested" policy versus the previous "masks required" policy of recent months. Specific events may still have required health-safety measures based on the artist or touring group's requirements. Visit specific event pages on The Mendel Center's web site or the day-of-event email sent out before each performance for information on COVID-19 precautions for individual events. The Mendel Center reserves the right to modify COVID-19 policies to comply with mandates or to help ensure the safety and well-being of its patrons should conditions change.
Please make the right choice and stay home if you are not feeling well.
